James started his commercial career, after a spate in the Armed Forces, as an Executive Search & Selection Consultant operating within the Financial Services & Information Technology markets.  After five years of recruiting a range of professionals across a broad array of companies James decided to move specifically into Financial Services setting up Anvil Financial Solutions Ltd in 2005 with his co-director Sarah Routley.  James is based in Anvil’s Tring office and is responsible for customer care and the advice process.

Sarah set up Anvil soon after graduating from Cass Business school obtaining her B Sc. in Real Estate Finance & Investment. Sarah leads all Aylesbury operations and is responsible for marketing and sales channels.
